MAD SCIENCE is back! For those who do not know about this program, it is an after school science program offered by an outside agency, Mad Science of Greater Kansas City. Paper forms were sent home this week, but I have also included the form below. It is an after school program, but it does cost. It will begin the week before Spring Break, but there will be no classes the week of our break. See the flyer below for all the details!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES are scheduled for February 8th. We do not have school on this day as conferences are from 8-4pm. You will receive a note from your child's teacher letting you know if a conference is requested or not. Even if your teacher does not feel like you need a conference, you may still sign up for a slot. Skyward opened up on Jan. 23rd for you to schedule. We would like to set the lounge up with lots of food that day for our staff. Please see this sign-up to see if you can help!

Louisburg Schools closed January 25th due to inclement weather.
BES does Yearbooks differently than the other schools. Our Yearbooks are sold separately from the beginning of the year add-on during enrollment. You have to order directly through Inter-State, we do not take orders at school. Flyers have been sent home. Please make sure you do this, we always have families that think they've ordered and then a lot of disappointment when the books are handed out! We will be selling until February - but do not delay!!!
Order your yearbook online! Visit https://inter-state.com/flyerentry/72753B
The 'Accidental Book Club' gifted our entire 4th grade with books this past week! This club is comprised of BES alums who want to give back and ensure that every student has a book to read. They showed us a real life example of living like MLK!

Are you interested in volunteering at BES? We have opportunities available! Contact Principal Apple today at 837.1900 or applec@usd416.org
