The Louisburg School District is always excited to recognize outstanding teachers that have dedicated their life to helping our community’s students grow and succeed. This year, our district has selected Niki Cash, Kindergarten Teacher at Rockville Elementary, as the Elementary Teacher of the Year! The district has selected Jessica Compliment, Math Teacher at Louisburg High School, as the Secondary Teacher of the Year!

Niki Cash started teaching Kindergarten for the Louisburg School District in 2017 after a long teaching career in Paola. Each day, Mrs. Cash makes her little ones her top priority. Her classes are full of love and learning. She cares deeply about the individual learning of each of her students. Her lessons are well-planned and her students have many positive learning achievements throughout the year! Mrs. Cash is adaptive and can make learning fun and rewarding for all students in her classroom!

Jessica Compliment started teaching math at Louisburg High School in 2006. Mrs. Compliment teaches many upper level math classes to our students at LHS. She has had a long standard of excellence in her teaching and many of her students appreciate what she has taught them once they get into college and their careers. Her lessons are very structured and engaging. She makes sure her students understand the math concepts before building on the next lesson. Mrs. Compliment has also shared her talents with many students outside of the classroom by devoting her time to coaching across the district.
Both of these outstanding teachers will now compete in the Kansas Region #3 Teacher of the Year Regional Contest. They will be recognized at a reception on April 18, 2027. If either are fortunate to win this regional award, they would vie for the Kansas Teacher of the Year in September 2027. Best of luck to Niki and Jessica and THANKS for being great educators for our kids!
