October 2021

Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,

As I write this newsletter, we are only a few days away from the completion of our 1st Quarter!  The 1st Quarter will end on October 6th.  There will be no school on October 7th, 8th and 11th.  We have parent-teacher conferences and staff development on these dates.  You should have received information regarding conferences from your child’s school.  We hope you are able to attend a conference for each of your children.  If you have a conflict, or need to schedule at a different time, please communicate with the teaching staff about another time to have a meeting.  Having the ongoing support from the home is critical in the success of each child that we serve.  We will have 2nd semester conferences in February, but please keep ongoing communication with the teaching staff throughout the year, especially if you have a concern that we need to work together to solve.  The 2nd Quarter will fly by as well!  It will be full of many activities and extra-curricular events for our community to enjoy and support!

I appreciate everyone’s support as we go through this school year.  It has been a challenge, but yet a reward!  No two days are the same, and we strive to keep teaching and learning at the forefront of our days.  With COVID-19 and the bond construction, it has been challenging.  We are encouraged by the lower COVID-19 numbers across our school district and hope it continues into 2nd Quarter.  We will continue to keep you updated regarding COVID-19 on our website.  We are also encouraged by the construction across our school district.  Circle Grove is looking better and better each day.  We are still on track to welcome our preschool students and staff back to their ‘new’ building in January!  You will begin to see more and more work at LMS and LHS during 2nd Quarter.  The BES projects will begin in November.  We are still tracking for an August 2022 completion.  As always, your patience, support and flexibility are much appreciated!

Go Wildcats!!
