May 2021 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
We did it! We have navigated a very challenging school year and have had many accomplishments to be proud of throughout the school district! It wasn’t easy, but by sticking to our “We Are All In It Together” motto, we had a successful school year despite the incredible challenges! I appreciate the community’s support to our teachers and staff during this past year. Our district is appreciative of all of the support you have provided.
As you are aware by now, the last day of school will be on Friday, May 21st. It will be an early dismissal day so please get all the needed dismissal times from your child’s school. We will be celebrating our graduating senior class on Saturday, May 22nd. Graduation is slated to be at 10 am at the football stadium. All are welcome to attend!
We will begin some of our construction projects as soon as school ends. It will be a busy next 15 months as the plan is to have all of the construction projects completed by August 2022. It will take some patience and flexibility, but the reward of having updated and safer facilities for our teachers and students is well worth it!
Please check out next year’s calendar that is posted on our website so you know when school begins next school year. We will be working on an appropriate plan for next school year and will communicate it to all families when we have the details ironed out. It is always a challenge as guidance and recommendations continue to evolve. Rest assured, we will always fulfill our district’s mission statement “to educate each student in a safe and nurturing environment.”
I wish each student and family an enjoyable and relaxing summer! The summers always go by fast, so enjoy every minute of it that you can! Once again, our school district appreciates the ongoing support from our Wildcat Nation!
