December 2020 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
As I sit down to write this letter, I am beyond excited in reflecting what our school district and community have accomplished this school year! We have been committed, from day one, to keep our doors open to our kids! It has not been an easy task during a pandemic, but we have stayed true to our mission to educate each student in a safe and nurturing environment. There have been many obstacles to overcome, but our district’s “ALL IN IT TOGETHER” motto has resonated time and time again! Our staff members have been tremendous! They have shown their dedicated and caring attitude through it all! The community and parents have supported us through these challenging times. Through it all, we have succeeded to do the impossible!
The end of the semester concludes on December 18th. Between now and then, we will have many activities, from winter concerts to games to holiday parties to high school finals! Please make sure you and your child know what will transpire over the next few weeks because it will go by fast! We will welcome everyone back to school on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Monday, January 4, 2021 is a teacher workday so there is no school on Monday, 1/4/21.
The 2021-2022 school calendar will be approved at the December 14th board of education meeting. Please check under our “calendar” tab to find next year’s calendar so you can begin planning for next school year, if needed.
I wish each and every family a wonderful upcoming Holiday Season! We have a lot to be thankful for and spending time with family and friends is always a fun way to celebrate! I know the second semester will bring plenty of challenges as well, but we will succeed just like was have in the past. I appreciate the community’s continued support of our school district, staff and students. It makes going into the new year much easier knowing our community will always support kids!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
