May 2019 Superintendent Newsletter

Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family, We have made it to the last month of the 2018-2019 school year! The next 15.5 school days will fly by fast! There are different school activities on my calendar for each of the upcoming days. Please check your child’s school calendar to keep up with all of the end of the year activities. If any changes are made to activities, we will strive to inform you as quick as possible. We wish our Graduating Class of 2019 the very best as they graduate on May 18th at 2 pm at Louisburg High School! May they go out and flourish in their respective career and life paths! We are proud of their accomplishments as Louisburg students!

Over the summer, there will be many activities to keep busy with as well. One FREE program I want to call your attention to is the free lunch and snack program we provide for all children, ages 1 to 18. The program is held at the Louisburg Library. There is a flyer on the front page of the website with more information. To participate in this program, there are no residency or income requirements. We encourage all children to come to the library throughout the summer to get a free lunch/snack and enjoy what the library has to offer!

Many of our 2019-2020 events are already posted on different calendars that will allow you to begin the planning process for next year. Enrollment will be held August 1st at Louisburg High School. The first day of school for 6th graders and freshmen will be on August 14th. K-12 will begin school on August 15th. Our preschool will begin session on Monday, August 19th. We will be ready to welcome your children back into our schools after the fun-filled summer!

I wish everyone a great and relaxing 2019 summer! Thanks for all your support of our schools and staff during the 2018-2019 school year! We hope the 2019-2020 school year brings even better learning adventures to each student! We couldn’t do what we do without our community and parents’ support!

Go Wildcats!!
