Healthy Kids Strong Families Parent Workshop Series- Sept. 19th
I want to let you know about the Healthy Kids-Strong Families Parent Workshops that the district social workers are putting together. There will be a parent workshop offered each quarter focusing on a variety of topics including anxiety, bullying, social media, suicide prevention and more. The workshops will be held at LHS in the auditorium. Refreshments & babysitting will be offered free of charge. The events are designed to benefit parents with children OF ALL AGES!
Our first event focuses on raising awareness about anxiety. The documentary film, Angst will be shown followed by a panel discussion. The film addresses causes of anxiety, it's effects and what you can do. The goal is to raise awareness, open the conversation and provide families with resources.
