May 2018 Superintendent Newsletter
May 2018 Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family, The month of May seems to come around so quickly every school year! I know the students are anxiously counting down the days left of the 2017-2018 school year. There will be many activities between now and May 23rd. The individual buildings will strive to send out announcements and updates as we go through May. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s attendance center for more details regarding an upcoming activity. We want to make sure you are able to participate in as many of your child’s activities as possible.
Several key dates in May include the Louisburg High School Graduation and the last day of school. Graduation is at 2 pm on Saturday, May 19th. It will be held in the Louisburg High School Gymnasium. Graduation is always a special event as we celebrate our graduates from our school district.
I wish each 2018 graduate the very best as they enter into their next chapter of their life. The last day of school is on May 23rd. It is only a ½ of day. No school lunch will be served. Buses will run before and after school. Once again, more information about dismissal time will come from each building as May 23rd gets closer. I wish each student and family a great summer break! Just like the school year, summer will go by fast as well! If you are looking ahead, August 15th will be the first day of school for 6th graders and freshmen next year. August 16th will be the first day of school for K-12. On Monday, August 20th, we will welcome our preschool students at Circle Grove.
Thanks for being a positive partner and supporter of our school district during the 2017- 2018 school year. We look forward to another great year during the 2018-2019 school year!
