December 2017 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
Happy Holidays from our school district to your family! I hope the holiday season is filled with some good cheer and wonderful family time for each of you! As always, our school district appreciates the support each of you provide us throughout the school year! This time of year can be very hectic as we run from activity to activity, or try and get some last second shopping finished before the holidays. I encourage each of you to strive to take some much needed family time during the upcoming break! I know each of us can use it as the fast pace world we live in takes the “good ol’ family” time away from us at times.
There will be plenty of activities throughout the short month of December. We will have many concerts, ball games, classroom activities, etc. during the 13 ½ days of school in December. Please make sure to check the school calendars for all school activities. I enjoy attending all of the activities! On December 20th, the school day will dismiss around the 11 am timeframe. Please check with your child’s school to know the exact time as times will be staggered a little for busing. School will resume on Thursday, January 4th for all students.
As you know, a major activity taking place over the holiday break is our band performing at the Tournament of Roses Parade. Mr. Cisetti and the students have been working hard to represent our community as they march in Pasadena, California on January 1st. I invite everyone to sit down with their families and watch the parade. Here is a link to the different television channels: https://www.tournamentofroses.com/broadcast-partners
The parade will begin at 8 am Pacific Standard Time, or 10 am Central Time (local time). We are so excited to represent our community on the national and international stage at the Tournament of Roses Parade. Thanks to all that have made this dream a reality for all!
