November 2017 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
The cooler weather and leaves turning colors tells us that Fall has arrived! It seems like I am always in a never ending battle with the leaves in my yard! I hope your family has an enjoyable November and the fun activities that come with this month!
We had a great turnout at Parent-Teacher Conferences in October. If you were unable to attend, or unable to visit with a teacher, please contact the teacher or the school to set up an agreeable meeting time. As a reminder, there are no Spring conferences. If you have any concerns until the end of the school year, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
Many of our Fall activities ended on positive notes. Our sports teams as the high school and middle school level did fantastic! Our co-curricular (FFA, FACS, Debate, Music, Band, etc.) continue to perform at high levels. I enjoy seeing the students do so well for our school and community! Great job, Wildcats!
We will have many wonderful activities in November, but I want to point out a few of them. On Friday, November 10th, we will be celebrating our men and women of service with several Veterans Day performances. The first one will be the elementary program. It will be on Friday, November 10th at 9 am at Louisburg High School Main Gymnasium. The 2nd program will be the middle school’s program. It will be at 2:15 pm in the LHS Auditorium. At 11 am on Saturday, 11/11, the Veterans program will be at the cemetery. Our LHS Band will perform at this ceremony. If inclement weather is present, it will be held at LHS. We appreciate all the men and women who have served, and who are currently serving, our country and our Freedom!
