October 2017 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
I hope my October newsletter continues to find each student doing well this school year! October begins the ‘crazy’ season as different holidays and celebrations enter into our already busy schedules! We strive to keep our calendars updated to keep you informed of all the different school activities across our school district.
Speaking of schedules, I want to remind families of our upcoming break in the middle of October. There is no school on Thursday, October 12th, Friday, October 13th, and Monday, October 16th. On October 12th, we will hold parent-teacher conferences from noon to 8 pm in each building. The buildings will be communicating with families on the scheduling of the conferences. Please strive to attend this event to have face-to-face communication with your child’s teacher. I know sometimes it is difficult to attend, or to see all of the teachers. If this is the case, please contact the teacher you wish to visit with and set up a workable time to meet. We believe in being proactive and working together to help each student succeed! We look forward to having some great conversations with each of you!
I want to remind you of some different parenting resources we have provided on our website. I know, firsthand, how difficult it can be raising children! On the right side of the website, there is a tab entitled, “parent resources”. On this page, you will find many different resources that might help your family with some parenting tips. I know I can use all the help I can get! If you find any resources, please let us know and we can include them to share with others. I appreciate your continued support and wish your family a Happy Fall!
