Heightened Illness Alert
Illnesses are certainly in full swing here in the Louisburg School District. There have been reports of Influenza, strep throat, Norovirus, and pink eye as well as more nebulous symptoms of headache, nausea, lethargy and generally “not feeling well.”
As a reminder, please keep your child home if s/he is not feeling well; this will help prevent the spread of infection & help keep students and staff safe and healthy
Please remember that in order to return to school, school policy requires that your child must be free of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea for 24 hours without the aid of medication. Any medication needing to be administered at school requires a Medication Form signed by both parent and physician.
Also, please remind your children to wash hands frequently – keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. *
If you have any questions or are not sure whether to send your child to school, please feel free to contact the school nurse.
Thank you for your cooperation.
