Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,

I hope you and your family have been enjoying the Fall weather and activities. I know the Fall is the beginning of several ‘crazy’ months. There never seems to be a dull moment with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season!

During the month of November, there are two celebrations in our community that I always get excited about attending! The first is November 11th. On November 11th, we celebrate and recognize our men and women of the Armed Forces. This year, there will be three ceremonies that our school district will be involved with as we thank our Veterans.  At 9:30 am, our elementary schools will have a program at Louisburg High School.  At 11 am, our band will help the local VFW with their program at the cemetery.  At 2:15 pm, the middle school will recognize the Veterans at LMS.  I also know there are other community events during the day as we all say THANKS to these brave men and women in our community.  The second event is our annual Senior Citizen Lunch.  This will be held on Tuesday, November 15th, at Louisburg High School.  If you know of a senior citizen in our community, please make sure to contact Louisburg High School and sign them up for our recognition dinner.  This is another way that our school district says THANKS to the senior citizens of our community for their support of our school and community.

There are many other events taking place in November as well.  From our high school musical to sporting events to other extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, our community is always buzzing with events for students and their families. We couldn’t do any of this without the continued support of you: our Louisburg community.  Thanks for being a positive partner as we strive to fulfill our mission statement to educate each student in a safe and nurturing environment.

Go Wildcats!
