November 2015 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
The weather is beginning to feel more like Fall! I enjoy this time of the year as we can have some beautiful days. As a family, I know this time of year; with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, is a very busy time of the year! There never seems to be enough time in the day or week to get things accomplished. As of Monday, November 2nd, there are only 32 school days until Winter Break! Even though it is a busy time, I hope each of you can enjoy some fun, family time together!
We have recently updated our parent resource tab on our website with some useful parenting support. If you have time, please visit the tab, located on the right side of our website, and check out the new resources. As always, we welcome the positive partnership between home and school to provide the appropriate resources for each child. As your child’s first teacher, you are an integral part of the overall learning capacity of our students. We are fortunate to have a strong parent/school partnership in our community.
As with any month of school, we will have many activities throughout the month of November. One of my favorite celebrations during November is Veterans Day. Our community and school district do a great job of celebrating our heroes that have protected our freedom. If you have time, I encourage you to attend one or all of our school events on November 11th . Please check the school’s calendars on when the specific celebrations will be on Veterans Day. Each year, I am moved by the performances of our kids as they pay respect to our veterans. It is a Louisburg tradition that I hope continues for many years to come. God Bless all of our men and women in the armed forces that keep us safe! We are lucky to live in a nation that demands freedom and respect for all!
