12 LHS FFA students head to Nationals!
On Monday, October 26th, Mr. Jim Morgan and the Louisburg High School FFA will be leaving for a week to attend the National FFA Convention. The convention is in Louisville, Kentucky. Here is a link to the convention: https://www.ffa.org/events/conventionandexpo/schedule This year, three teams (12 students), will be competing. This is the most of any Kansas High School! The students will be competing in Food Science, Floriculture and Nursery and Landscape. These events have the kids utilize communication skills, public speaking, one-on-one interaction, team work and writing. Math skills that employers in the profession would use are a big part of the competition. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are interwoven into many parts of the competition.
Louisburg High School Students participating:
Food Science: Paige Buffington, Madelynn Yalowitz, Bryn O'Meara, Holly Turner
Floriculture: Abby Tucker, Kaitlyn Gaza, Megan Eberhart, Ellie Katzer

Our School District and Community wishes these twelve students and Mr. Morgan the best of luck! We are proud of your accomplishment and know you will represent Louisburg in a positive manner!
