May 2015 Superintendent Newsletter
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
Well, we made it through another school year! I want to thank all the parents/guardians for the tremendous support you have given our school district this school year. I also want to thank the students for doing their very best and representing our community in a prideful manner! Last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to our teachers, administrators, and support staff. As you know, we have a topnotch staff that work with our students on a daily basis. The staff work to maintain the great education system we have grown to expect in Louisburg.
In the upcoming weeks, we will say farewell to another stellar graduating class. The class of 2015 has accomplished many things during their time in our district. I had the great pleasure of having this class for three years as their middle school principal. Even back then, I knew they would be a special group of kids! They have welcomed me back to the district and I appreciate all they have done for our district. The students in the class of 2015 are super…..I wish them nothing but the best! I know they will go out into the world and make a difference!
As we enter into the summer months, I wish all students, families, and staff a wonderful summer! I hope everyone is able to enjoy some quality family time and rejuvenate their batteries. As you know, the start of the 2015-2016 school year will be here before we know it! School enrollment will be on Thursday, August 6, 2015. This upcoming year, we are going to have all-district enrollment at Louisburg High School. You will no longer have to go to multiple schools to enroll and pay fees. Although we know there will be some issues that come up, we hope we can make this a more efficient and easier way to enroll your child. Continue to watch our website for enrollment information. The district is also moving to a new student information system called Skyward. Skyward will replace Infinite Campus. We are hopeful that Skyward will provide many benefits to ongoing home/school communication. August 19th will be our 6th and 9th grade transition day. August 20th will be the first day of school for grades 1st through 12th. August 21st will mark the first day of school for PreK-12!
Once again, enjoy the upcoming summer months!
All My Best!
