Congratulations to Louisburg Teachers of the Year - 2015

Dotty Harding

USD #416 is pleased to announce Dotty Harding
as Louisburg's 2015 Elementary Teacher of the Year!

Currently, Dotty teaches 1st grade at Rockville Elementary School.  Mrs. Harding was nominated by her teaching peers.  Mrs. Harding's colleagues describe her as a team player who always does what she believes is best for her students.  Her fellow staff members continued to compliment Mrs. Harding by stating, "she is a positive, energetic teacher who truly looks to find the good in each of her co-workers and in her students.  Dotty does not need pats on the back or someone telling her that she is doing a great job; that isn't why Dotty teachs.  Dotty teaches because she has a genuine love of teaching and believes that each and every day, we, as teachers, make a difference."

Our district is thrilled to share this honor with Mrs. Harding!  She is one of the many examples of why the Louisburg School District is a wonderful place to learn and work.

Alison Moore

USD #416 is pleased to announce Alison Moore
as Louisburg's 2015 Secondary Teacher of the Year!

Currently, Alison teachers vocal music at Louisburg Middle School and Louisburg High School.  Mrs. Moore was nominated by her teacher peers.  During the nomination process, her colleagues stated, "every student who she teaches comes away with a love and respect for music that they take with them for the rest of their lives.  To watch Alison in her element - either teaching music, theater, or the musical productions - is mesmerizing!"  In closing, her colleagues recognize that Alison has "high expectations of her students because she believes in them and she wants them to strive to be the best they can be.  Students respect Alison and feel so valued that they work hard to put forth their best effort in class and on the stage.....and the results are spectacular!"

It is our district's honor to have Alison Moore nominated for our Secondary Teacher of the Year Award!
