Superintendent's October 2014 Newsletter

October 2014

Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,

Believe it or not, we are getting close to the end of the first quarter of school. Friday, October
10th is the last day of the first quarter. We have Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday,
October 2nd. The conferences will be from 11 am – 7 pm. I hope you are able to schedule a
time to meet with our staff about your child’s progress. If you are unable to attend on 10/2,
please call or email the school and set up another time to meet. We know that as your child’s
first teacher, your partnership in this educational journey is critical. We appreciate your
support of your child’s education and our educational community.

The month of October is a month that allows our staff and student to help bring building
positive relationships to the forefront. In the month of October, the schools will be
participating in Anti-Bullying activities and also Red Ribbon Week. We want all students and
staff to feel safe at schools. If your child or you have a concern about a negative situation,
please visit with a teacher, staff, or administrator. Kansas Anti-Bullying week is the first full
week of October. Red Ribbon week will be the last full week of October.

We have many activities taking place across the district. Our parental and community support
for our students and student-athletes is wonderful. There is a great deal of Purple Pride in this
community and your support is appreciated! Our coaches, sponsors, and students work very
hard at competing at a high level. I am most proud of how they represent our community.
They are great ambassadors of Louisburg! I have enjoyed getting to many of the events and
helping you cheer on our Wildcats! Thanks for all your continued support.

Thanks for a positive start to the school year and a great end to ¼ of the year! Without your
support, our work could not be accomplished. Your unwavering support of our school, staff,
and students is sincerely appreciated. I know, as a parent of two Louisburg students, I am
proud to call USD #416 home!

Go Wildcats!
