As many of you are aware, this time of year marks state assessments for students in grades 3-8, 10th, and 11th graders. We are always proud of how well our students perform on the assessments. We ask for your support when your child is taking the assessments. A sound word of encouragement, a good night sleep, and a hearty breakfast go along way as they prepare for the assessments. We don't want to put any undue stress on any student so we just encourage each student to do their best! Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family, As many of you know, registered voters will soon have the opportunity to participate in a special mail in ballot to maintain our current funding of the Local Option Budget (LOB). Currently, our LOB is at 33% of the general fund. In order to maintain it at this level, the district must conduct a special mail in ballot. By voting yes on the ballot, each voter is allowing the district to maintain the current funding with NO tax increase to home owners or business owners. LHS Parents/Guardians: As many of you are aware, we have been faced with some school safety issues over the past month. I am thankful that none of the safety breaches have involved any student or staff member getting injured. These issues concern me a great deal. They concern me as the school superintendent of Louisburg. They also concern me as a father of two students of USD #416.
