STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS for March 11, 2010
Booster Club winners of the month: Garrett Griffin (basketball) and
Derek Mathia (wrestling). Both will receive $25 credit toward
purchases at Cats Alley.
1. Today: Class T-shirt Day. Teachers, count those wearing class
shirts during 4th block today.
• Jazzy Cats try-outs will be in the auxiliary gym at 3:30 p.m.
• TSA money and paperwork for state is due today!!!
2. Tomorrow: No School. End of the third quarter.
• FFA Meats competition at Pleasant Ridge. Vans leaves at 6:30
a.m.
• The deadline to sign up for Drivers Ed is Friday.
3. Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday at 2:00 a.m. Be sure to set
your clocks up an hour before going to bed on Saturday.
4. Spring Break begins Monday, March 15th!
5. We have a great deal of lost and found items, including coats,
hoodies, bags and backpacks. If you are missing anything please
come to the office and check it out. Items will be disposed of
during Spring Break.
6. Today is the last day before all PE lockers will be cleaned. If
you want to keep anything in your PE locker, please remove all
items from them TODAY. Anything you leave behind will be
discarded.
7. Students that will be taking an AP test in May need to make
their commitment to the exam by March 24th. The cost of the test is
$86.00 (no refunds) and checks may be made out to Louisburg High
School and turned into the office. As we did last year students
that receive a “3” on an AP test will receive $10.00, students that
receive a “4” will receive $20.00 and those students that earn a
perfect “5” will receive $86.00.
8. Those people who have not yet reserved their copy of the
2009-2010 LOMIKA may, starting after we get back from break and for
the rest of March, purchase a copy of the book for $55.00 in the
office. After March 31, sales will be finalized and no one will be
able to purchase a yearbook. Don't let this deadline slip by! If
you're not sure whether you bought a book or not, there is a list
posted in the main hallway. Teachers, this means you, too. Keep all
those precious names and faces in your memory!
Practices over Spring Break:
Track: Not having any organized practice over spring break. “We are
giving each of the kids a workout.”
Baseball: “Possibly looking at Thurs and Fri over the break.
Softball: Thursday 3/18 and Friday 3/19 at 10:00 am
East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation (ECKAN), a
community action agency is always looking for volunteers to help
them out in their many endeavors to make the Louisburg and
surrounding area a better place for everyone. Volunteering is also
a great way to build your resume. If you are interested please call
