Louisburg, Kansas is
located 25 miles south of Kansas City. The Louisburg High School
Band has over 100 members and performs at many community events as
well as two marching festivals each year. A very popular event in
the community is the Electric Light Band Show which is presented at
night without stadium lights. Each band member is asked to
illuminate themselves any way possible while marching the show.
The 2009 marching show is entitled In the Jungle. Music selections include: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Insects", "I Wanna Be Like You", and "Wooly Bully."
