Bus Riders Please Read Note From Durham Bus Service Students cannot bring guests home with them on the bus. With the loss of 2 routes busses are extremely full and we can’t take the chance of an overload due to extra riders.

NOTE FROM THE NURSE
***To all parents of Louisburg School District,
With winter upon us, the illnesses are starting to make an appearance. As the nurse of BES and LMS, I want to make sure all parents/guardians are aware of our policy when it comes to your child being ill.

If you child is running a fever, please do not send them to school for me to send home later that day. They can not return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours(without the aide of medication).
The same goes for vomiting. If your child is vomiting they must remain vomit free for 24 hours. For example: If I send a child home at 1pm for a fever they may not return the next day until after 1pm (if they have not vomited since they left school).
As a school nurse, I see many illnesses come into my office. If you have any questions on whether or not you should send your child to school or when they are allowed to return to school after an illness, please do not hesitate to call me so I can clarify.

Thank You

Danielle Claar RN, BSN
School Nurse BES/LMS

April 1st2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event Flyer

The Kansas State Department of Education is excited to announce the release of our Parent Guides created for Kansas parents by Kansas educators! These documents help provide a clearer understanding of what students will learn at a specific grade level in parent friendly language. Furthermore, these documents provide a few activities parents can do at home with their child to further support their learning of mathematics. The Guides are simple yet precise one page documents that are perfect for distribution during parent teacher conferences or any other school related event. Check out these and other great parent resources at http://community.ksde.org/Default.aspx?tabid=5651.
