Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O.) Information
Welcome parents and students to the 2010 2011 school year. As a parent of an elementary school student, you are already a member of the PTO. There is no fee to be a member.
The purpose of the PTO is to encourage parental involvement, to open and maintain communication between school and home, and to provide financial assistance that benefits the needs of the school, teachers, and students. Our PTO has been very successful in providing all of this in previous years.
The PTO does depend on parents to volunteer their time and talents to meet the activities for the school year. We have a general meeting once a month (please see school calendar for dates and times) at one of the elementary schools. The PTO provides middle and high school students to watch your children during the meeting, at no cost to you.
Some things the PTO were able to provide for the past school year were: the cost of field trips, author visits, and classroom grants for teacher’s needs.
