BES selected as a Kansas School of Character

Recently, Broadmoor Elementary was notified that they were chosen as a school of character for their work in enhancing the recognition for social, emotional and character development.  They will be recognized at a reception on May 4, 2017 at the Brown v Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka, Kansas.  The Kansas Schools of Character Recognition program recipients are schools and/or districts that have demonstrated education principles, which include creating a caring school community, engaging families and community members as partners in character-building efforts, fostering self-motivation, and implementing meaningful and challenging academic curriculum that respects all learners, develops character, and helps students succeed.
