April 2017 Superintendent Newsletter
April 1, 2017
Dear USD #416 Wildcat Family,
I hope this April newsletter finds each student and family doing well! My hope is also that everyone had a relaxing spring break! The 3rd quarter is a long quarter and it is nice to unwind and recharge for a few days before the final push of the 4th quarter. As I said in my last newsletter, we will need ‘all hands on deck’ as we push towards the end of the school year. Students probably already have May 24th circled on their calendars! We need to all work together to make the 4th quarter a great learning adventure for all! We do not have school on April 28th. This will be the only day out of school before the end of the year.
At the secondary level, counseling staff and teachers are working on schedules. If your student is wanting to change a course, please let the offices know as they plan for next year. We want to strive to provide each student with the appropriate courses to help them be prepared for their next chapter in life.
This time of year is very busy. We seem to have activities and field trips daily. I enjoy watching our students perform in and out of the classroom. I encourage you and your family to come support some of these activities as well. We have great community support for our schools and your encouragement of our students is greatly appreciated!
We are excited to see all the new preschool and kindergarten faces and families that will be enrolling for the first time in our district. We have enrollment going on during the month of April. If you know of any future Wildcats in the community, we would love to welcome them to our school district! If you have another Wildcat at home that is coming into our district, we are excited to continue the wonderful partnership of learning with your family!
