Guys and Dolls
Louisburg High School proudly presents as its annual fall musical, Guys and Dolls. Written by Abe Burrows, Jo Swerling and Frank Loesser, Guys and Dolls is a dance and song-filled masterpiece that will leave audiences of all ages singing along and laughing out loud.
Guys and Dolls follows the many antics of Nathan Detroit, a wise-guy gambler who is always looking to get rich quick and his fiancee of 14 years, the hilarious Miss Adelaide. When Nathan isn't able to come up with enough money to rent a place for his latest gambling tournament, he bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson $1,000 that he cannot get Sarah Brown, the leader of the "Save A Soul" mission, to go on a date with him. The story that follows is what caused Guys and Dolls to be called "the perfect romantic comedy of all time."
This year's cast, crew and pit band totals nearly 100 and we have students from all Louisburg schools participating. Featuring many of LHS' finest (and handsome!) men, this musical showcases the incredible choreography of LHS students, Grant Lesher and Hanna Gentile.
Performances are scheduled for November 22 at 7 pm and November 23 at 2 pm. We hope that you will support us in this most exciting musical endeavor!! For ticket information, call 913-837-1730.
