LOUISBURG HIGH SCHOOL BECOMES LOUISBURG RURAL HIGH SCHOOL DIST. #3
by Eldon Evans
A new state law required that all High School Districts be reorganized and the elementary districts that they served be identified.
Prior to the passage of this law students from outside the city of Louisburg had to pay tuition to go to the high school.
With the change in the law many rural students who could not afford tuition were able to attend high school.
Once again the increase in enrollment caused the district to begin planning for new buildings.
The board:
C. E. Cook
J. W. Hill
E. L. Dicke
began making plans for a new building.
